WHAT IS SPRAY TANNING?
Spray tanning involves applying an active ingredient, dihydroxyacetone or DHA, to your skin using a specialist low pressure machine.
DHA is a colourless sugar. It interacts with the proteins & amino acids in the outer layer of your skin to produce a golden brown colour
(it's a similar process to when sliced apples go brown
when exposed to the air)
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE TAN TO DEVELOP?
It takes the tan 6-8 hours to develop
IS IT SAFE?
Yes it is MUCH safer than exposing you skin to the sun's rays, but you still get that great tanned look. Allergic reactions are extreamly rare due to the natural ingredients in the products however if you have experienced allergic reactions to self-tanning or other beauty products then please let me know so we can arrange a skin patch test first.
Remember, with a sunless tan - there's NO risk of sunburn, ugly peeling, sunstroke or sun-related skin diseases.
HOW LONG DOES MY SUNLESS TAN LAST?
Your tan will last approximately 5-7 days depending on your daily skincare routine & lifestyle.
WHY IS A SPRAY TAN BY A THERAPIST BETTER THAN A MISTING BOOTH OR HANDS-ON APPLICATION TAN?
Misting booths mean you have to contort your body within the booth to cover each area. One wrong twist could either be a double colour (too much colour) or no spray (no colour at all). Neither you or the booth has any control over where the products ends up. and how your tan will look.
Hand application often results in streaky colouration. If it's you thats doing the application then it's very difficult to get the product where you want it, especially on your back, or to see where you've already applied it.
Spray tanning with a quality product, & done by a trained therapist, gives you a precision tan, applied smoothly & equally. Special care can be given to problem areas such as knees, elbows, hair & blemishes. You also have the added bonus of being in the comfort of your own home.
WILL THE SPRAY GO OVER MY FURNITURE & CARPET?
No! I bring a pop up cubicle for you to stand in,
(210cm high x 120cm wide x 120cm deep)
and i only spray you when you are inside. I also bring plenty of towels so that the tan does not go onto your carpet. I do require a room with adequate lighting and ventilation.
If anything unforseen where to happen, dont worry as I am Fully Insured.
I HAD GREEN PATCHES UNDER MY ARMPITS & SOME AROUND MY NECK WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS?
This is caused by products that have been left on the skin. Perfume, Body Spray's and Deoderant's need to be washed off really well as some can last on the skin for over 24hours.
CAN ANY MEDICATIONS AFFECT THE COLOUR OR CAUSE THE TAN TO GO PATCHY?
YES.
Anti-Depressents, Migraleve
Some Anti-Biotics, Cancer, Diabetic or Heart Medications.

WHO SHOULD NOT GET A SPRAY TAN?
Women who are in their first trimester of pregnancy
Anyone who is allergic to self-tanning products
Anyone who has breathing difficulties.
